Report Templates
Report templates are reusable report configurations. They help you start from a prepared report structure instead of building every report from scratch.
A template can include the report period setup, time base, report items, enrichment, automation items, view mode, layout, widgets, name, description, tags, and other report configuration details. It does not act as a live report until you use or import it.
Template Repositories
The templates page can filter templates by repository:

| Official | Templates provided by AutoROICalc. |
| Public | Templates shared publicly. |
| Private | Templates available only to your account or workspace. |
| All | Shows templates from all available repositories. |
Templates can also be filtered by title and quick tag filters.
What You Can Do with a Template

| Preview | Inspect the template before creating a report from it. |
| Use and edit | Open the report designer with the template loaded so you can adjust it before saving. |
| Import | Create a report directly from the template. |
| Download config | Download the template report configuration as an ARC file. |
| Edit | Update template metadata when you have permission. |
| Edit config | Open the report designer to update the template configuration when you have permission. |
| Delete | Remove a template when you have permission. |
Saving a Report as a Template
From the reports list, use Save as Template when an existing report should become a reusable starting point. The template dialog lets you define template metadata such as title, description, repository, language, version, image, and tags.
Save a report as a template when:
- Several clients or projects need the same report structure.
- A report should become a standard internal reporting pattern.
- You want to prepare a report setup for one-click solutions.
- You want to share a report structure without bundling records.
Templates are best for repeatable structure
Use templates for repeatable report design. Use report bundles when you need to move data together with the report.
Template Configuration Summary
The templates page shows a compact configuration summary for each template, including:
- Report period
- Time base
- Number of report items
- Number of enrichment items
- Number of automation items
- View type
This helps you compare templates before opening or importing them.
