Shared Properties
A property is the workspace containing records, reports, dashboards, and their shared settings. Your AutoROICalc account is your personal login. Each account has its own property and can also join properties owned by other accounts.
Inviting someone gives them access to the host property's existing database. It does not merge accounts, copy records, or move either user's personal data. The host owner's service plan and usage limits apply to the shared resources.
Invite a Member
- Open Account and select the property you want to share.
- Find the Property card above Delete Data and Close Account.
- Expand Members and choose Add member.
- In the dialog, enter the recipient's email address and choose a role.
- Submit the invitation. The recipient must accept it before receiving access.
Owners can invite admins, editors, and readers. Admins can invite editors and readers. The owner remains responsible for integrations and destructive account actions.
The Members table shows each member's role and available management actions. A Pending invitations table appears only when there are pending invitations; owners and admins can revoke them. Readers and editors can see their own access level and leave a shared property, but cannot manage members.
Invitation delivery
Invitation emails use the recipient's saved language when available, with English as the fallback. If email delivery fails, the invitation remains available and the sender can copy its acceptance link from the Property card.
Accept an Invitation
Open the invitation link, sign in with the invited email address, and choose Accept. If you need to register first, create an account with that address and verify it before accepting. Acceptance selects the shared property.
Invitations expire after seven days and can be used once. Sending a replacement invitation to the same email address invalidates the previous link. Expired, revoked, or replaced invitations require a new invitation from the owner or an admin.
Switch Properties
Use the property selector in the Account page. When you have more than one property, you can also click the account icon in the left sidenav to open a quick property menu. Both pickers show property names, roles, shared status, and the current selection. With only one property, the sidenav icon opens Account directly.
Switching opens the home page with the selected property's records, reports, dashboards, and settings. The app remembers your selection in this browser's local storage separately for each signed-in account. A link containing property_id takes precedence over the saved selection, provided you still have access to that property.
If membership has been removed, the app asks you to return to your personal property. It does not silently load another property's resources for the old link.

Controls, tabs, and sidenav items are disabled when your role cannot use them. Direct URLs and API requests are also checked against your membership and permissions. A property admin role does not grant access to platform administration.
Editors can change report and dashboard content while existing sharing and automation settings are preserved. Ask an admin or owner to change publication or scheduling settings.
Manage or Leave a Property
Owners and admins can change permitted member roles or remove members from the Members table. Only the owner can manage admins. The owner cannot be removed or transferred through member management.
Permissions are checked by the backend on each request, so removing a member or reducing their role affects subsequent access. A non-owner can choose Leave property after confirmation. Leaving removes that membership and returns to the personal property; it keeps the shared property's data and the member's personal account.
Only the owner can delete property data. Deleting shared data affects everyone using that property. To close your own account, select your personal property and remove its other members first. Account closure also removes your memberships in other properties.
Collaboration and Report Sharing
Use property membership when colleagues need to work with the same records, reports, and dashboards. For read-only access to one saved report, use Share with user and enter an existing username or email. The recipient sees it in their personal Reports list and can include it in their dashboards; this does not create property membership. Public report sharing exposes a particular report through a sharing link or widget; it does not make the viewer a property member.
Troubleshooting
- A control is disabled: check your role in the property picker and ask the owner or an admin for the required access.
- The wrong data is shown: check the selected property and any
property_idin the current link. - An invitation cannot be accepted: verify that you are signed in with the invited, verified email address and using the latest invitation link.
- A property is no longer accessible: return to your personal property or request a new invitation.
