Dashboard Reports

Dashboard reports are saved AutoROICalc reports displayed together on one dashboard page. Each report keeps its own report configuration, including period, time base, report items, enrichment, automation rules, and layout.

How Reports Work in Dashboards

When a report is added to a dashboard, the dashboard stores a reference to that report. The dashboard then loads and displays the selected reports in the configured order.

This means:

  • Report calculations still come from the report configuration
  • Report layouts are reused inside the dashboard
  • Updating a report can change how it appears in dashboards
  • Removing a report from a dashboard does not delete the report itself

Choosing Reports for a Dashboard

Choose reports that belong together and answer related questions. For example, a marketing dashboard could include:

  • Advertising costs by source
  • Leads or conversions by campaign
  • Revenue by channel
  • ROI or cost per conversion

For a client dashboard, use reports that match the client reporting promise and avoid adding internal-only metrics unless they are needed.

Report Order

Put the most important reports first. A dashboard is easier to scan when the first reports answer the main business question and supporting reports appear below them.

When to Create a Separate Dashboard

Create a separate dashboard when the audience, reporting period, or business goal changes. For example, a weekly management dashboard and a monthly client dashboard may use some of the same reports but need different organization.
